Already a multiple winner of the National Students and the U25s Doubles, Charlie has now won his first senior regional title, the North West Open Doubles, playing with fellow Old Pauline Tom Dean on the Manchester Y Club courts. In the semi-final Charlie and Tom beat the scratch pairing of Will Ellison and Luke Thomson, then in the final they defeated local favorites John Minta and Marco Skogh in three games.

Charlie played for Cambridge for four years between 2003-2007 and was captain of CURFC in 2006
