Cambridge win Varsity Match by 290-158

Led by captain Elliott Malone, the Cambridge VIII were 13 points up after the Singles, increased their lead by a further 66 points in the first round of Doubles and ran out comfortable victors by 290-158 on the courts at St. Paul's. Old Blues Ed Kay, Tom Chase, Alan Beverly, Jacob Brubert and Elliott Malone were well backed up by newcomers Peter Judge, James Lane and freshman Jack Malde. In the Sparrows versus Beavers match the Cambridge IV of Luke Rowland, Will Sloper, Jacob Ader and Ben Quarry won the 'Fist of Iron' for the first time for several years, by a margin of 138 points to 119.
